Online Course (7 weekly Friday sessions)

About The Event

The primary function of astrology is to understand yourself and others, viewing them with compassion. It will allow you to learn about your strengths, and recognise and counteract your weaknesses. You will learn how to decode the chart: identifying your ascendant and other components of the horoscope. Afterwards, we explore the meanings of the various planets, houses, and zodiac signs within which they fall. This knowledge forms the foundation of further studies in Vedic astrology.

We look forward to sharing our excitement about the intricacy and interplay of Vedic philosophy, astrology, and the individual. You will find your knowledge of ayurveda, yoga, and Sanskrit reflected in Vedic astrology, hopefully motivating you to expand your horizons. You will also learn some simple remedies which you can apply in everyday life to overcome obstacles, as well as reminding you of your ability to change your character, way of thinking, and destiny by means of spiritual advancement.

The course will include:

  • How to decode a chart
  • The meaning and nature of planets, houses and zodiac signs
  • The elements, gunas and life directions in Vedic astrology
  • Simple remedies

About facilitator

Kunti Seva dasi (Aleksandra Smith) grew up in the Vaishnava tradition and has been practicing Bhakti Yoga for over 30 years. She has been passionate about Vedic Astrology since her teenage years.

Despite being a professional architect, she has chosen to pursue her love for Jyotish by studying Parasara Hora Sastra, the most ancient treatise on astrology. Being in one of the longest Jyotisha traditions – the Sri Acyutananda Dasa Parampara, stemming from Sri Chaitanya Mahaprabhu, and traveling to India to learn first-hand from her Jyotish Gurus, Pt. Sanjay Rath and Sarbani Rath, have allowed her to dive deeper not only into astrology, but also expand her knowledge about Vedic philosophy.

She is a follower of the ancient teachings, encouraging vegetarianism, and a spiritual and holistic lifestyle.
